Im just looking forward to fishing with friends. As far as my odds go, well they are stacked up against me tremendously. Taking first place from me is for sure up for grabs for a few guys but I wont go down without a fight. I think I have the biggest target on my back but Im not worried. Angler of the Year will go to whoever really wants it the most. I know I havent really commented much about this because I havent really been sweating leading the pack for almost an entire season. Even if I do lose it and not get it back, Ive had one hell of a run. And not placing this month is not the end of my run. We still got September which Ill be at Bachman for and October at Grapevine. Overall, my main objective is to have fun and enjoy fishing with good folks

I made a quick trip out to the Canals today and the water looks great. It looks like we are going to have a great turnout and it's going to be a strong field. Everyone needs to bring their "A" game.

The only concern I have was the tow truck that was hooking up a car at the McDonalds. I saw guys fishing further down the lower lake but I don't know if it was theirs. Be careful if you park in merchants lots.

I'm going to bring a case of water and it will be available in Lt Dan's truck. It's going to be hot and I'm hoping the action will be the same.

Rule Revision (Slight change to Sep. 13th Fundraiser)
SECTION 13 Fundraiser Tournaments
2. Big Bass Battle:
Points will be rewarded. This tournament winner will be based on the best overall 1 bass.
The winner will receive the total pot along with 10 points for placing first. 10 attendance points will be given to those who check in and out with the tournament director. This event will allow all competitors from the west and east to compete. Also, newcomers are allowed to compete but cannot earn points at this event because registration and monthly dues are not to be paid for this event. No promo points will be allowed to be allocated at this event. The tournament entry is $20 per person. $10 will go to the pot and $10 to the proceeds If a competitor can not attend, you have to option of gaining 10 points by donating $10 to the proceeds. If a competitor can not attend, donations must be sent to Russ Prater PRIOR to the day of the event in order to receive points . Also please remember that this a fundraiser first and a tournament second.

Yeah that's what I was gonna do if I went out there. I may not even do big bass. I just want to get out there and fish and get back to my roots mentally. But that all depends on if I can get out there. Still without a ride right now. And I don't want to have to put that on Russ. I've already asked too much this year without having a way to pay it back lol
