Met up with Ruben, Jay and our host for the day Matt for a party boat day on Tawokoni. Headed out a little after 6:30 from Holiday. Lake is as low as I have ever seen it but had no problem getting out on the lake and starting the search. Matt was looking for hybrid but they decided to be elusing today probably due to the recent weather. We did catch one or two but the rest were sandies and yellows and we caught a ton of them. Matt treated us to some good fishing and worked very hard all day. He was not satisfied with just catching the run of the mill sandy and continued to search for hybrid and big sandies. We filled the cooler and enjoyed a great day on the lake. Weather was very nice considering it was the middle of August. If you have a chance you MUST sign up for one of these party boat trips. Take a look at the pics, that is a nice pile of filets. The catfish were a blast to catch at the doc while he cleaned our pile of fish. Thank you lakeguide!

We tried top water but no takers. We used a variety of chartreuse/white slabs, Godfather, prune picker, SSS, Lazer minnow, and a few others of the same general shape and color.

Had fun. Didn't sweat out butts off and was able to take my mom a gallon bag of filets. It was a pleasure sharing a boat with some fine gentlemen!!

Those are great dock pics. Tawakoni has some massive sandbass in that lake.

Matt won't stop till u say stop. Fished with him a bunch this year and just when u think ur heading to the dock he's flying to another jackpot spot. Gotta love that work ethic!! We r always the last to come in.
