Hey Guys,
I live in Dallas, and love to fly fish for just about anything. However, anytime I try and ask about fishing spots in the immediate area, all I hear about are Whiterock Lake, Whiterock Creek and that's about it. Are there any park ponds or lakes that produce fish in the urban areas? I'm sure someone knows a spot to cast for panfish and bass...

It's a tough time in the middle of summer heat. If you dont mind to go further out, you may try eisenhower state Park, around marina area. You can catch lmb, smb, sand bass, stripers.
You can also try ramp area by the Dam on Texas side, early in the morning, sandbass and small stripers chasing small bait fish.
Spring time is always good time to fish local creeks.
