Ahoy Zuma Ithought you might get a comment or two but I do not have experience with them. I have been told that you can use them both fresh and salt however they may only last with care about 30 minutes in the salt persuasion. I remember that Larry Bozka used to tout them. Google up Larrry Bozka or try www.blacksalty.com/ Hope that helps

I've used them twice in the Galveston area. Caught gaft tops and one slot red fish. Lot of hits from small aggressive fish. Used them in the fresh at Fayette County and caught two decent fish but nothing over 4#s. Gander Mtn stopped selling them and haven't used them since.

I tried them in salt water and never caught a thing. A guy gave us some on FCL and my Wife caught some decent size LMB a few years back. I have no idea where to buy them these days since Gander Mountain closed their bait shop.

All they are is big black/silver goldfish. Bought them once a couple years ago but they didn't get any takers at the jetty. Kind of too expensive for me, $4-5 a dozen and you have to keep changing out dead goldfish for live every 20 minutes. Mullet from the castnet work better and are free.
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

I just looked into these. Had never heard of them. Wouldn't it be better to just use some mullet or croaker?
