I remember catching those like that in Oregon when I was a kid, back in the mid 80's. We called them mud shrimp.

When the surf gets flat and clears up for a few days you can really catch the pompano with them. Finding a stretch of beach with a lot of burrows and broken shell is also a good indicator that the fishing will be good in that area.

The beach didnt look right after we pumped these shrimp.
High tide took care of it for us though.
strange concerning PINS
When one of the guys told us about the 20 per day limit I was definately suprized.
They are strange looking creatures for sure. I bet they a really good for the beach.
