The City of Austin is looking to convert Walter E Long to an "off channel storage" lake for drought relief. This could lead to a 25 ft drop in water level. There is absolutely no structure in the lake. The drop would decimate fish assemblages. Please sign the petition found below.

Are they running the power plant? How would drawing this lake down 25 feet affect the plant's cooling capabilities?

I thought that lakes that get more fishing pressure get stocked.Thosed that don't well don't get stocked.

This water issue is getting ugly.. cities need water and the rules are changing but not in their favor..
