The Texas Striper Association's 8th and final tournament of the year will be hosted on Possum Kingdom Lake on Saturday August 23, 2014. The tournament will be hosted at The Possum Kingdom Chamber of Commerce. Registration will begin at 5:30am with Captain's meeting to follow at 6:00am. Both registration and Captains meeting will be at The Possum Chamber of Commerce. All Captains and boats must be present at the captains meeting to discuss rules and boat inspections. Weigh-in will also be at The Possum Kingdom Chamber of Commerce at 3:00pm. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at texasstriperassociation@gmail.com or call me at 682-556-4591.

Guides are also welcome and encouraged to participate.

Tournament Registration fees are $100.00 for TSA members and $135.00 for non-members. There is also a $20.00 big fish pot that everyone can participate in. Complete rules are located on the Texas Striper Association Website at http://www.texasstriperassociation.com.

We will also be having a Youth Angler Competition. This will be for any Youth Anglers 16 and under. Each of the Youth anglers will weigh their single biggest fish.

Boy won't this tourney be fun with all those ski boats and jet fleas on Saturday. Might be wreck with all that traffic.

PKFishing - PM sent. Everyone knows that the ski boat and jet fleas ALWAYs stay away from the fishing boats. But I am hoping that being on the water early most of our day will be free of them...HOPING.

It should be a good tournament and I am predicting that "Team Keepin' It Reel" is going to win. Hey it could happen. Lighting does strike twice every now and than!! Just have to decide whether to follow you or Randy Woods.

The tournament will be fun, but I was on PK last weekend and by 10:00 you could hardly fish for the waves and ski boats. Started trolling and one of those nice people on PK cut right behind the boat, with me yelling and screaming at him, and spooled my reel before I could get to it. Lure $8 and braid line $20. I was in my pontoon or I would have tried to run him down and @#$%. Oh, by the way, when he cut behind my boat he was at Idle speed, then took off.

I guess I should sign on to TFF more often. I already had a trip planned to RC or I'd be there to beat Randy on his home lake.

That's pretty awesome Randy. Saturday was a hot difficult day. I had friends out and had to take them fishing in the heat. We never got a nibble.
