A few questions that arose while researching boats:
1. What is the difference between the Skeeter FX and ZX lines? To make it more confusing, What does the i series offer that the FX/ZX doesent?
2. What's the deal with all the different BassCat Models? Puma, Panterra, Cougar, Eyra, FTD, and probably more. Some are FTD, some are Advantage. I was looking on the BCB website and it seems like there were three different models that were 20' 4" long. Can someone list the models in order MSRP from High to Low?
Thanks Much!

Thanks Much! FTD indicated Full Team Deck or used to. Thus those models had a larger front deck. However, now it's basically the nicer/add'l feature version. Unofficially in In descending order of $ / larger model. - Jaguar
- Puma FTD
- Puma
- Eyra
- Cougar FTD
- Cougar Advantage
- Pantera IV
- Pantera II
- Pantera Classic
- Sabre FTD
- Sabre

Thanks Barn, that's really helpful. It's a bit confusing trying to figure out why you would purchase one model over the other.

Difference between the FX and the ZX is hull design. Minor suttle difference is the ride and performance. FX is the top of line. the corvette model if you will. Comes with all the bell's and whistles. The ZX is an incredible boat. Same deck layout as the FX and I class. The ZX will not have some of options the FX has. I.E flush mounting 12 in units , Pro Stripe in color options etc. But is a tournament machine non the less. The I class is a battle ship. Best rough water boat i have ever been in. Preforms great, tons of room, and dry and smooth ride in the rough stuff. Just doesnt have the all the bell's and whistle's the 2014 FX has.

If you ever want to take a ride in any Skeeter model, shoot me a PM. When looking for a boat the best way to know what you want is to get in them and ride in one. Let me know if you have any questions.

If you are looking for a new 2015 Skeeter I class boat you may have to settle for a 2014 model. It is my understanding the I class will be discontinued for the 2015 year model. ZX and FX will still be manufactured. Just a rumor that I cannot confirm.

Question about the BassCat: From pictures, it looks like the recessed trolling motor pedal is too far forward. For the guys that fish out of the newer Cats, do you feel like you're standing too close to the nose of the boat while fishing?

I looked on the Skeeter site and there is no i class shown under the products link. FX and ZX are there. I assume they're consolidating .

For the guys that fish out of the newer Cats, do you feel like you're standing too close to the nose of the boat while fishing? Gets you prepared to be a tight rope walker. You get used to it after a while. For me they need to have two positions for the front seat. One back about 6" would be the ticket.

BassCat The Jaguar is by far the biggest and most expensive. Puma FTD Cougar FTD are the same hull with different front deck layout same price range. Eyra is a complete different design of boat that is the sports car of the line up. It has the option to move the trolling motor pedal and the seat back about 6 inches, very neat concept. I have never moved mine back, I like it forward as it is. Once you get used to it you love it. The Eyra is basically the same price range of the above FTD models. The regular Puma and Cougar have a different hull altogether from the FTD models with different fuel tank options and locations. They are the budget minded boat that gives you all of the BCB advantages and qualities without all of the bells and whistles of the FTD models. The new Caracal also has the option to move the trolling motor pedal and seat back. The front deck is a lot wider than any other BCB model, it is a 19' class boat with a 96" beam. The production models will be lighter than the two boats they brought out for the dealers meeting. They should perform quite well for a 19' boat with the 225 on the back.

There will be a Skeeter FXI, FX20/21, and ZX225/250 that replaces the ZX20/21. The FXI will have the iClass hull, but the FX top cap. It should be much more appealing than the outdated aesthetics of the iClass.
