The dead trees that were mostly out of the water even when the lake was full were pushed into brush piles along the waters edge. The trees weren't removed, just pushed out where they would provide deeper cover when the lake fills back up. There is still a ton of submerged cover in that lake. Chris Borden is right, the best fishing isn't the bank anyway.

Trolling motor only. It might be a good Crappie lake one of these days with all the brush piles now.

That's good as long as they leave some good spawning areas.I caught fish out of those trees every time I went down there.

Since they only allow a limited amount of boats, is there a usually much of a line to get in. How early would be good to arrive and expect to get on.

Can anyone confirm signage that says elsewise or is this just a common misconception people have of no wake lakes? I can do pretty much full speed in my pond prowler with outboard and not wake lol

Always been told by the Park people and they will let you know, that no big motors unless its a must for loading or unloading.
Seriously though, it not big enough to have to worry about using a gas motor.

Absolutly no outboard motors. Paddles and electric trolling motors only. While not posted they absolutly will allow you to start your outboard if you have to for loading your boat onto your trailer.

I would cry if some jack wagon out crappie in there they can really ruin a trophy bass fishery in a small lake. I don't know if I had caught ten fish out of those trees anyway. Most of ours have been coming from 20-30 fow. Caught several walleye in the last few weeks on cranks.

I have been there a few times and the old man at the pay booth said you can't use the big motor at all. I also contacted the water district can't remember the name and they said no also.

I've used the big motor to load everytime I've been there with no issues.

Let me clarify here. I fished it back when all i had was a 2 man with a 3hp and a trolling motor. I now have a Nitro and im glad they will at least let you load/unload with the big motor. I know its a main water supply but it would be nice if they would at least let us idle across the lake. Pretty much all lakes are used as a water supply to a city somewhere. But for the price to bring a full size boat... Well its just not worth it to me. And it will end up with Crappie in it. That's a Guarentee. Birds will bring eggs on their feet overtime. How do you think stock ponds have fish when they have never been stocked...
