Went out Sunday evening and hit two spots. Had 19 quality keepers in 19 fow. Hit same two spot Tuesday evening and caught roughly 40.....7 keepers. Every other trip has been really good. These sporadic cold fronts and changes in barometric pressure sure do affect my diet. Wish things would level off a bit. Did notice when the barometer dropped hard from one day to the next that the fish suspended at 8-10ft in 15-25 fow and would only hit on the fall. Tomato seed in 1/16th ounce with split shot did the trick. My typical colors were unproductive on the front days. Curious to see how this next front affects them.

Sounds like an awesome day of fishing. Good job. The Crappie down here in the San Antonio area have moved in water 12 to 15 feet deep and are holding by structure or ledges.

Yep, smaller baits seem to work better in dead of winter, dead of summer... and post cold front lock jaw. Lanes' new (smaller) baits will be a winner. They will be out around mid-fall. Some lucky guys at the CAT mtg got a free preview pack last night when they bought CAT raffle tickets at our meeting. Let us know how they work for ya!! Some folks have already been testing (as well as Lane) with positive results.

Fished this evening from 5:30 to 8. Went an hour before my first bite, but ended up catching 6 keepers and they were all slabs!! All off of one tree in 31 fow. They all bit with different aggression and every single one caught at a different depth. I wasted too much time on my go to spots. Gotta shake it up!! No slams in a couple minutes and mix it up. Seems like the consistency is found in the inconsistency. If that makes sense...lol.
