Question about cats

I don't catfish, but this weekend I decided to just sink some worms and see what bit. I pulled up a good sized cat (not sure what kind) but what I thought was odd is that it kept croaking like a frog, is that common? None of the few cats I've accidentally caught in the past did this. Just curious.

Yes all cats "croak". The sound comes from their fins rubbing on the skull

Yes all cats "croak". The sound comes from their fins rubbing on the skull I just learned something today, I knew that all catfish croaked but never new what caused it, thanks tom
