Hey JP, this just popped into my mind after seeing someone with an incredible number of posts here on our own Texas Fishing Forum. What do you say about giving an award to the member with the most posts? Maybe a free T shirt / cap. Or maybe a fishing rod / reel combo. JuJu stick? Who knows. Could be interesting. Folks could look around and see who they think has the most and post their results. You'd have to officiate the whole ordeal though.

How about the most meaningfull posts. I see alot of people around her that post a whole lot of junk, making me wonder if they even own a rod or even go fishing more than once a year. A wise man once said, " Its not how much you say, its what you say." I just dont want to see someone get an award for a whole lot of nothing. Thats all!!!

nah- i dont need an award. My award is getting to BS on a forum with friends for FREE. Thats reward enough. Keeps me sane. I have done my fair share of learning, giving advice, and BS'ing. The rewards come from fishing with new people and making new friendships. I grew up around a lot of the "wrong" crowd, and totally abolished all those friends, and started with new friends that are reputable and arent losers.Some of the best people I know I have met thru this forum.

she already loves them(offshore tackle). She wants to get out there so bad to see how well she will do, in the open seas. Once the wedding is over, I am gonna try to get her on a 12 hour capt john trip this spring.Honeymoon cruise is in January(last one she had to take seasick meds cause she wouldnt quit staring at the water!) LOL. She never lost it, just got dizzy a time or two. Send me your address and I will get an invite in the mail to you. Dec 1st is RSVP date for the caterers.

This should give you a good start. All of these are good for both reds and trout and snook. Since the water is pretty clear, get the lures in bright colors such as chartrusse, electric chicken, or pearl whites. If the water is off colored then go with something a little darker such as red shad.
