Never fished Lewisville. Right now here in the San Antonio area Bluegills are starting to hold by docks and sunken brush piles. Been catching nice ones in 5 to 12 feet of water using worms. Hopefully someone who has fished Lewisville will respond with a fishing report. Good luck.

I have a bit this summer when the crappie weren't biting. They have been good for me around the marinas and rocks by the dam off of jigs fishing from my kayak. I imagine that you should get a nice bunch of fish.

Skunk. One bite on a worm under a bobber by the gas pumps nothing else.

Bummer. I was pitching jigs around a marina the other day and there was a strange absence of gills or at least ones big enough to hook up on with my crappie jigs. I think that the raising water must have pushed them somewhere???

You'd think the rising water would have them shallow feeding on bugs.

Only fished for LM there and it was average at best. Good place to party though.
Don't worry about the mule, just load the cart

I am always looking for some eater gills as well. Lake Lewisville has not been good for me either
If it's legal ain't no way in hell it's catch and release, it's CATCH & GREASE, except ROUGH (TRASH) Fish

Try the the pond on the other side of the I35 highway off by Highland village road. It is loaded with them. I have caught stringers full in the summer time. Try up in fron of the large drainage thet run under Highland Village road.

I've fished that pond from the shore but not from the kayak yet.

Lewisville has an absence of bluegill and other sunfish because of the catfish. The blue and flathead catfish eat them poor suckers up. They could be up at the mouth of the Trinity or in the backs of coves at best. Hope this helps buddy!!

That makes a lot of sense. All the places I fished back in the day when I'd catch loads of sunfish, it was in waters that weren't known for big blues.
