You'll be about 30 minutes away from the best white bass run in the state. Late winter/early spring on the Sabine River above Toledo Bend is some epic fishing.

Plenty of other lakes to fish for whatever you like as well. Then there's Caddo Lake. I haven't spent enough time there to dial in any great fishing, but just cruising around the lake in a pontoon is an awesome way to spend a day or two on the water.

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space!

Lake O the pines is close and is a very good lake. You will be
the middle of several bodies of water with excellent fishing.

When you get settled in send me a note and we will hook up and visit the local lakes. Been fishing East Texas all my life. You will be within 45 minutes or less of Lake Gilmer, Brandy Branch (Pirkey), Pines, Martin Creek and an hour or so from several more. Martin Creek and Pirkey are hot water lakes.

Yeah plenty of water over there. Pines, Lonestar, and Timpson are just a few that I like.

You will be in the heart of some great fishing lakes for sure, Lake o' Pines, Fork, Martin, Perky, Murvaul, Caddo, Toledo Bend, Sam Rayburn, to name a few. Need GPS mapping and or a chart plotter for Caddo you can get lost and or turned around on it rather quickly. All have some good fishing, Caddo is probably the most scenic lake. Good luck and let us know how you do.

I am not making any decisions until the bourbon kicks in!
