I like fishing my tenkara rod in a kayak, a little easier to solve those tree bass problems laugh

Picked up Tenkara for the first time this year. I absolutely love it! Best way to fish small water IMO. I am now going broke on my Japanese rods from TenkaraBum.com

Check out Tenkara USA also. Warning, it becomes another huge addiction!

Is this like a expensive cane pole we used as kids?

These expensive cane poles won't dawgleg to left or right... smile Just got a couple myself. Let's see how much fun they can be.

Same thing just new marketing. Kind of like the old TFO versus Sage debate. de

I completely disagree. These are not cane poles. Part of my waiting to order one a few years back was the comparison, from folks who have not tried the technique , to cane pole fishing. These are true fly rods in a simple form. Rod , line, tippet. They cast beautifully, weigh almost nothing, and transmit the fight of smaller fish like no other rod I have ever held. Mine all weigh less than 2 ounces! It may not be for everyone, but any ultralight enthusiast is missing out if they have not tried it. Anyone I have taken for the first time has been converted. Lol.

Tenkara rods make a little fish seem like a little bigger fish. Tons of fun for perch jerkin or high sticking braids. Haters gonna hate.
