Looks awesome!!! Now that you caught the trophy small mouth I guess you set your sites on a trophy carp.

At Denison Dam, in summer time, each time after the generation is cut off, there are lots, lots, lots carps, buffalos, grass carps in the river. The biggest grass carp I caught was 35lb.
But this year, they didn't let water out since last Dec. due to the drought. I tied these two just in case. I am ready for them.
I also know one area on lake side where lots, lots and lots carps swimming around in the morning, within my casting distance.

Those look great. sz 6 ? Tie some up with bead chain as well. I never know how heavy of a fly I'm going to need so I try to carry a heavy and light version of the same.

The backstabber and primordial carp-stew/crust are my two current favorites.

I never follow direction too close though. I'm always bastardizing other's hard work and research.

Oh, and one time below the dam I chased some carp eating white fluffy seeds off of the top of the water. Hooked one for .5 seconds.

It was probably a seasonal thing, but I always wanted to create a dry pattern for that.
