Can someone explain why the sonar options button has disappeared? I read the manual and it states that the downscan options will disappear when overlay is not checked. If I check and uncheck overlay the downscan options are still available. I was trying to adjust the color contrast to night/grayscale.

I don't have an Elite HDI unit, but there is a similar problem in terminology on the Touch units - there are two types of overlay. One is the overlay of desired auxiliary information onto your sonar and other displays - such as temperature, ground speed, etc. The other is the one you're trying to view, the overlay of downscan data onto your 2D sonar displays (to create HDI displays). You may be toggling the first type on/off now, instead of the downscan overlay - call up a sonar display and check/uncheck that box again and see if any of this type of information appears/disappears. I don't recall the specific difference in the names, or the menu paths for the two types of overlay, but you can sort through your menu's and figure it out.
