Planning a trip to Texoma this week. Trying to decide if I should launch say the State Park and fish from say Preston Point to the Dam or if I should launch at High Point and fish the islands.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I am far from an expert, but I have fished the last two weekends, read about every report I could find and fish were caught by and behind the islands and out by the Preston point and Dam both weekends. The kayak forum posted good results in the early am throwing top water around the stumps between treasure island and north island.

This last Saturday, I caught a few and saw a bunch of guides on live bait catching in the morning and around lunch from table top to platters flats. I personally didn't see many boats this last Saturday down by the DAM.

Andy - what kind of fishing do you want todo, bait, trolling or topwater ... that may help the gang on here give you better advice.

What is your tolerance for running your boat in shallow water ? some stumps and shallow water behind the islands, I see lots of boats running back there, but I always pull my main motor and run only on my trolling motor for safety behind the islands.

-good luck
