Great with my son little nephew and brother inlaw we where at the dock under 820

Few boats in and out as normal boater aknowledging the fact that we had lines out and taking the pillers where our lines where not...

No bites on shad nor minnows or liver

Still didnt matter

Till on boater and his girlfriend and a buddy launched and me and my son mentioned that we had lines out after they asked if we where having luck.

The just proceed to go towards the lines I had to grab both rods fast while they where taking line and looking back w a smerk

I damn near had line burn threw my fInger


needless to say they had no respect and the only could say almost past the other side "sorry bout your luck" and the girl yelled "SORRY"

We left I was pretty upset

That was tough to read ..........after a few tries I think I figured out you was fishin under 820 bridge and they ran over your lines ? Seen that many times out there - just too busy of an area - I'd fish another area myself.

That dock had a sign on if for the longest time that said anglers must yield to boaters, but it fell down and they didn't replace it. You can tell it is a loading dock and not a fishing pier because it doesn't have a guardrail on the front of the dock. There is a park off of Foster drive you should try.

I am really not trying to ruffle your feathers on the issue by the boaters are paying to use the ramp. You should not expect them to beach their boat while you fish off a loading dock. This time of year, the boat traffic is pretty much constant so you really need to find somewhere else to bank fish. You can even dish off the bank under the bridge or on the other side of the ramp.

Agree with Brian. I have seen the sign before. I use it even when people are fishing but I try to be polite about it and use a section that is not being used or otherwise try work around them.

If its full I let them know I'm coming in and give them an opportunity to reel in if they like. If they don't, I come in any way. It is a loading dock.

So far this year we have caught 1 game warden 20ft jet boat and 1 20ft pontoon boat fishing open bank. Welcome to summertime fishing. Even the professionals become senseless at times.
