Pops and I was looking for crappie last night at Joe Pool, after some success (caught 6 keepers, dinks
present as well) the bite noticeably slowed. We figure that was about it on the crappie when Pops hooked into a large bass. Now we catch nice largemouth bass (4-7lbs) out here every so often when fishing for crappie but I think this one was a real monster. The fish doubled over the lil extendo pole and we just knew it was gon break, the fish jumped out the water and my eyes got big; took a while to tired out but when we got it to the bank I had to go down in get it. This is the biggest bass we've ever caught, usually just let em go (I don't eat bass, but my uncle will) but I had to show-n-tell and not just have a big fishtale. Watch out Lake Fork lol!

I didn't measure but here's a clearer pic. Any estimates, I know it's at least 22, and I could easily put my whole fist and wrist n the fish mouth. I usually don't keep bass so I promise I won't keep anymore but this was once in a lifetime for us and it's legal so. Thanks everyone for the nice comments.
