There is only 1 Nav+ chip, why wouldn't yours work Tim? Was it a bad or slow internet connection? Normally mine will take about 15 mins or so to load and update on a high speed connection

Corey, I tried numerous times! Speed was plenty fast! I tried to get help! All they wanted to know was part number, serial number, how many gb was it MSD, cf or ns. Oh and I just copied that from the response! This lady claims there are several NAV+ cards. I gave up when the person knew nothing about the product they are selling and suppose to beable to help on. I just wanted help on making sure I was using the system right! I figure I was doing something wrong! I tried three different card readers and used 4 different computers that all are suppose to have the fastest internet connections you can get! I kept getting an error don't have what it said anymore! I sent that to them as well. I have a few of the emails still but the my intial email is not one of them! A few times I thought I had it and it would sit there and load or whatever it said for hours and nothing even let it sit over night once!

Tim I had lots of trouble getting my recent Nav+ update to run. My PC is Windows 8 and IE 11 and they are having LOTS of problems with that software. I finally got it to run using Mozilla on Windows 8. But the Nav Web Update program one day acted totally different the next time I tries so I assume they are making constant changes and have very poor support, probably because they have too many problems for the staff they have.

Corey, thank you for the info! Not the answer I was hoping for, but it's the answer and that's all I can ask. To answer your question, it's about 1.1 years old. I know because I had made a mark on my calendar about 3 weeks ago saying that I needed to go in and do the final update on all the enhancements so I had the best info. I fully understood that I could only do the updates for the first year. But, I was told I could ALWAYS go in and change what lakes and areas are on my chip at any current moment. Obviously not true. But, I see somebody else above said that if I bite my lip and go ahead and pay for the renewal (which I'm sure I will do once I get over myself), that I'd never have to renew again. Is THAT true? Is the renewal just a one time upcharge? Or, will this be annual or whenever someone decides we should pay again? Then, second question, how much is the renewal? Ohhh........and lastly, your final comment REALLY caught my attention. I can have as many "boxes" as I like? How do you do that? Heck, I'm sure I can go in and identify say 30 lakes and it'll probably cover anywhere I'll end up going before I leave this earth. I mean, my bucket list is only SOOOO big!!! Thanks again for the great info! Yancey

Yancey, Actually the way that the updates works is, you get 12 months of updates at a time. It is $99 for a 12 month session, it is unlimited updates, but if you look back to how the old system was, you mailed in your chip, got $50 off and a new chip sent out. With this format, it is still up to you when and if you do it, but at a cheaper price, unlimited updating and you do not send in anything, just use the chip you have.
On using the multiple boxes, just draw a box around the lake you wish to visit and download it, then keep doing that same process until you have either all of your lakes or the chip is full. I am not sure if you know now, but the Nav+ chip now has a purge function that is did not have when they first came out. This allows you to wipe the chip clean whenever you like and download whatever you would like to, but you would have to keep the subscription up.
The updates works the same on Nav+ as it does on the Platinum...you don't have to do it on either, just with the Nav+ you lose the ability to download or change areas, which basically turns it into a chip that is loaded with lakes you selected, so can still be much more beneficial to someone like you that fishes all over.
I will be glad to help out however I can or discuss anything you like either on here or you can feel free to PM me and I will give you my cell number, whatever is best for you.
