Should I be putting something on the yaks to prevent sun damage? What product if any do you use?

I have read about products but cant remember the name. Keeping them out of the sun when not in use helps. That said all mine are outside all the time. The plastic doesnt seem to be as affected as the straps and buckles etc. Those will show age a lot faster.

Buy a gallon of aerospace protectant and you'll be set for years. I wash off the yak and spray it with 303 every trip. The black plastic parts, hatches and straps as mentioned before will break down and need replacement if not taken care of.
There are many uses.. I even spray my life vest and paddle to keep them shiny and new. Lately I sprayed it on my Weber kettle grill cover that I have had in the full sun for the last six years and it darn near made it look new again (been a month since that and still holding strong).
