If you were fishing a clear to slightly stained lake this time of year.. That has miles of newly flooded re-growth...And is looaaaadddeeedd with shallow Perch that are about 4" long-- what would you throw ?? fish

That's why the saying is "Clash the hatch", right? Whatever you do... don't throw what they are consuming in abundance... loco

The idea isn't for your bait to be a perfect perch replica, the idea is to imitate a really stupid wounded perch and do all kinds of swirling around and twerking in the strike zone. You match the hatch so you look like what they eat, then you make yourself an easy target... BLAMMO!

I am sure real crawfish are much better at hiding under rocks and digging into the mud than my craw baits, but they work damn nice everywhere bass eat crawfish (aka everywhere!)

The reason all the perch are there mike is cause nothings eating them..yall should really just stay home no need to fish saturday grin

Most of the fish are FULL of small shad or small craws...I can't help but think the bigger fish would rather have a meal than a morsel.

They'd rather have an easy meal than work for it. They're opportunistic. They'll try and eat damn near anything if you present it well enough to entice a strike.

Yea we will be there also we will be flyin under radar though i blew my motor 2 weeks ago over there..and we prob used up all of our luck saturday caught a almost 7lbder!!!crazy thing is there was a 8lbder friday and also a 7lb smallie last week!!
