Is glare an issue with kayak colors? Do certain colors produce more glare than others? Or not really an issue.

Trying to decide between Lime-Mango for visibility, but concerned about the issue of glare. Like Sand but not much for visibility.

I have dark green. You can get a bicycle flag if you are worried about being seen.

I don't have all the answers, but I'm a quick learner!

Get what color you want. Color doesn't really matter IMO for safety. Just be lit up at night and add a visi flag and you'll be fine.

Sounds like you're talking about glare when look down at the kayak and tying lures or looking at a graph. I have been in bright yellow yaks and never experienced an issue but I always wear sunglasses so I'm sure that helps.

I couldn't pass on the desert camo on my wilderness systems.. But for safety to offset the darker kayak I got a bright orange life vest and visi flag. You could also get a paddle with orange colored paddles.

Just get some sunglasses, and get the color you like best. I never go out with out sunglasses the suns reflection off the water is to strong.

I have fluorescent light green and have never noticed any glare. Never noticed any glare, even with bright white kayaks. Polyethylene surfaces don't reflect like gel coated fiberglass.

Mines a white/grey cammo and don't notice any glare either, but like most I wear polarized shades.

A good bright color is always better if your out on an active bay/channel. Depending on waves and boat speed it is hard to see us low riders wink

As for glare, I don't know of many kayaks that have a gloss finish for glare to be an issue.
