So I bought a little inflatable boat at a garage sale for 15 bucks (two person, 6 ft long). In Texas i dont need to register it or get a title but since i want to use it up in oklahoma when im at school i need to register it up there and to do that i need a texas title because thats where i bought it. i tried to figure out how to get a title online and all i found was that you shouldnt buy a used boat in Texas without getting a title and bill of sale which dont even exist for this boat. so i was wondering if any of yall knew how someone was to go about getting a title in texas for a boat? thanks in advance!

I would look into it, I doubt you will need to register it or need a title for it if you don't put a motor on it.

In texas you would need to find the last person who had a title to it and get them to sign it over to you... if they still have it. This is likely not going to happen. I would bet the 6-foot inflatable boat isn't and doesn't need to be titled. If you need a title to use in OK then you best rout is going to be to burn the boat and get a new one with a title.

if no motor you do not need a title, if you got a bill of sale on purchase then you can title it if you want but I would not worry about it unless you intend to put a trolling motor on it.
