Hello, I'm looking for places to fish in or near Magnolia/Tomball. I just moved to the area and am unfamiliar. I am aware of Lake Conroe, and a fishing pond in a local park in Tomball. I'm no "angler" to speak of and don't have a boat. I just enjoy fishing from a bank to kill a Saturday. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Spencer

You can try the pond in Unity Park. It is located a few blocks east of 1774 on Nichols Sawmill. Look out for gators ;-).

Thank you, Spencer Take a little drive up toward Round Top....You have Fayette County Reservoir, Lake Somerville, and Bastrop up that way. Yeah its a little far, but you can drown a worm and see some new lakes too...

Thanks for all the tips Folks! Does anybody know of any good bank fishing points on Lake Conroe? I used to have friends who lived there and the fishing in front of their house was not very good. I heard a guide say one time that 90% of the fish are in 10% of the lake. They must lived near the 90%. Thanks again.
