 Makeing weed less Roadrunner

Marcus254's thread about under rated lures reminded me of something I've been wanting to ask. My favorite lure is a hairy Roadrunner (yellow with black body in 1/8 ounce). I use it every time I fish, but I'm constantly fighting hang ups. Gets frustrating sometimes. Does anybody know of an "add on" weed less system or something to reduce hang ups on non weed less baits?

I believe they make weed guards for crappie jigs, maybe you could attach one to a roadrunner the same way as a crappie jig? I think I saw some on cabelas website

I have used Road Runner style baits a lot in the past. When I used the ones with weed guards my hook-ups really suffered. That's why i bought a Do-it mold and started making my own. Road Runners

Rig the grub like a plastic worm so the tip of the hook is inside the grub like a worm hook in the worm. Hope you understand what I'm trying to say...lol
