A fisherman could get rich. Buy the land, work out a deal with Dallas (they own the shoreline), build a world class secure boat ramp, and charge a fee based on what we think is fair. The little man would of course get in free.

Have you been there recently? Last I heard, the ramp and the docks aren't even touching the water anymore.

There's no security there. It's just the location is away from any highways for quick get away. Thats the security. They take advantage of the low water situation and cater to the home owners. When and if the lake comes up the price will go down. In the meantime it is what it is. I'll pay but I won't like it.

That boat ramp has been dry and closed for several months now. Nice ramp...when it has water.

It's a $5 increase, not really that dramatic. If you fish more the 15 times a year, the pass pays for it's self.

A lot of it has to do with people not paying on a regular basis.

With in 60 days the only ramp that might be usable will be harbor bay, if we don't get some rain.

I'd bet if that happens their fees will go up again...

One advantage of driving a POS, it will always be there when you get back to the ramp. I'll launch wherever. $20 to put a boat in the water is just stupid.

It is this also at the marinas on the south end of lake Conroe also.

$20 a day to launch a boat is crazy.

$20 seems like pretty cheap insurance to me. Every time there is a theft at a fishing tournament folks scream about security at motels and marinas. Most say they'd be happy to pay a little extra, say $20, to have full-time security to watch their stuff.

Can't have it both ways. Pay and park secure or don't and get your stuff stolen or vandalized.

Not trying to be disrespectful, but didn't you have some high dollar weapons stole out of your Tahoe in a gated community? Just because you pay for protection don't mean it will work for ya all the time.

I wonder if cleaning out the end of this ramp would make it usable??? I've got a big tractor with a front end loader. and I'm happy to do the work. Who would I ask???
