1bigdaddy are you refering to the new Beetle?

I think the Big 3 need to get off their arses and play some catch-up. I don't like the idea of having to remove a power steering pump to change a battery (NewBeetle).

While we're on the topic of small vehicles/engines. Cummins builds a 4 cylinder (4bt) engine that would be prefect in a Dakota or something of that nature. That would be a real fuel effecient machine.

Yes Joey....I was referring to the new beetle and the rabbit....one of my freinds has a diesel rabbit...I thought something was wrong with it first time I seen his wife drive up in it...that little three cylinder was just a clattering....he said it had ample power and like I said before....incredable fuel milage...our automakers need to get off there duffs and start making cars people want and can afford or we may only have 1 or 2 makes of American pickups to choose from....bad thing is the ones I like are the ones who seem to be in the worse shape...I really did not want to go back to driving a Chevy or even worse!!!!

I posted a week or so ago about my dodge and tranny trouble.Well it is in the shop again !On my way to Oklahoma last friday the thing stayed in passing gear almost the entire way there and back and was shaking .Then on the way to the shop getting on 75 the transmission slipped for about 4 seconds ,the engine revved but truck slowed down.Dodge city called last evening and said there is nothing wrong with it.The truck actually has 63,000 miles and is an 01 V10 2500 4x4.This is the fourth tranny in 3,000 miles.

The tranny has ALWAYS been the weak link in Chrysler products. Rear ends for Ford. Syncronizers for GM. You can't win for losing.

My manual in my Dodge diesel has 128k and hasn't missed a thing. Thats with close to double the original horsepower for the last 50 thousand miles.

I was told that Ford and Cummins are in talks about putting Cummins in Ford's?
The person that told me this is pretty high up with Ford.

hey yall with 05-06ish cummins 4x4s. i have heard that you can fit 315s (35inch tires)on them stock. just wondering if this is true. and if so did you have to tighten your torsion bars to make them fit?
