Any good ponds to fish in or around Denton?
Has anyone caught anyting out of the pond by the New UNT football stadium? I live in that area and never see anyone pull anything out but I see a lot of people fish it. The one im talking about is the pond closer to North Texas Blvd but there is another one off the bonnie brae said I have not see anyone fish.

I have fished both of those ponds with no luck. Also the pond off Bonnie Brae behind Catfish King, no bass caught but I did see a few cats being caught there.

I am not making any decisions until the bourbon kicks in!

The UNT football stadium pond or the "duck pond" has suffered over the last three years.
I think it was last year when it got so low that they turned on the fire hydrant and ran water in it for three days.
No fish there to speak of.

The other pond on Bonnie Brae, near Walmart, has had giant fish over the years but the low water levels has beaten it up. The shocking survey show huge carp and lots of huge shad. There are a bunch of old big bass that are starving. The City did set up a feeder and try to make it better but it looks like that was given up on.

There was a 3 pound crappie caught there several years ago.
