Went out Sunday with 2 or my grandsons and son in law. Fished about 4 hours. Marina did not have minnows until around 9:00. We caught about 25 9.75" fish and 6 keepers. I took them home and my wife fried them up for me and her for supper. Sure were good. Fishing tress in 18-21' of water with minnows. Could catch a few then had to move.
Great day on the water. Saw people skiing in Richardson slew. Kept cell phone handy to call 911 but some how the idiots missed the trees. We fish there a lot and still hit them. food

Man, I saw those people skiing too. I was thinking it was only a matter of time.

Fishing was invented so man wouldn't get bored between turkey and dove.

and I agree ....not the spot to recreate it seems to me
I know some folks that jet ski out there
and when they told me that I told them yawl best be careful ....
its stump filled boat hole adventure for some folks
I know of at least 5 other fisherman and myself that got damaged vessels out there

I used to fish there with my family as a kid and we would fish in the little fishing shack, is that thing still there?

I have done a little fiberglass work from Benbrook stumps, where there should not have been any. The fishing shack is no longer there. I did about the same Saturday. About 30 fish, with about 10 keepers, nothing too big.

Dutch Marina has a crappie dock, but is only 4 or 5' deep. Since the lake came up a foot or 2 a lot of the stumps are just under the water. I have all sorts of trails into the trees on my GPS and will get to looking at the depth finder and get off the trail some and hit one. Never going very fast though. Problem is most of the people that do the stupid stuff don't fish.

Wish that were true. I seem some fishermen doing some pretty stupid things this month at Joe Pool. But they were endangering the lives of other people on the lake more than their fancy rigs.

Come to think of it, you are right. Spending 55 minutes running on plane to get to a spot to spend 5 minutes tossing lures, then spending another 55 minutes running on plane again probably doesn't qualify as fishing. rolfmao
