well I'm not for real sure about a 97- but some of those you have to remove the dash-sounds like a 350-400 job to me. Untill you figure it out , if you haven't already done it, you can bypass the heater by hooking the heater hoses together for now, so you won't burn the motor up..

It involves removing the dash, that price is a steal. Its well worth the money to pay to have that job done, or you could bypass it like kingdad said.

Is there a "conspiracy" among auto manufacturers to hide things like heater cores and in-tank fuel pumps in totally inaccessible places?
Or am I just paranoid?
Or am I just all alone?
Or am I just WAY out in left field with such a question?
Please, let me know.

Chuckwagon...
I think it's the "assembly line" thought process. All the stuff for a certain system is put in one module then that system is put in the car....Saves time I guess. I think the engineer that comes up with stuff like this oughta have to spend his time taking some of this apart! Especially on expendables (belts, hoses, fuel pumps, etc. Oh BTW you have to buy our special tool)
Anyway, Good Luck Ben !!!

Another reason to change that $9.00 a gallon anti-freeze every couple of years....

question is.... do you remember where all the screws go...hehe. if you unhooked electrical harness- reinstall and just sit the dash in its place and check everything before you screw it all back together.... may save you from having to remove it again to hook up that lonely little wire that grounds everthing... hehe.
