anyone else heard the rumor about ford discontinuing the 6.0 diesel due to all the problems they have had? I heard from a mechanic that the 7.3 was going to be brought back with a few new bells and whistles. any thoughts? confused

One of the diesel forums I was reading had an article that said Ford was up to $500,000 in the hole the first 9 months of 2005 due to warranty repairs and a whole lot of upset long time Ford customers upset with their new 6.0 PowerChoke motor. I think they would be wise to junk it.....

6.4 liter dual turbo to replace the variable valve turbo in the current 6.0 liter. Simialr fuel system as the chevy and dodge now have.

Don't ask me how I know and I don't but have heard this same rumour for the last year along with a few pictures of the uncrated engines prior to installing in test vehicles.

The timing I believe is latter part of this year before you see them.
