Looking for some thoughts on what this rain will do for the current fish patterns. There has been 1 FOOT already measured in Valley View, TX and it's still coming down. I have some family coming into town this weekend and they have requested me to take them to Texoma.

I think things might turn for the good. Higher levels, banks sitting in brush etc..

As low as the lakes are rain is the most important thing. Hate that it may negatively affect the fishing but long term it will be positive and good for everyone.

Or atleast call him regularly. I'm hoping that my one trip a year doesn't prove to be too little for all the [censored] I ask him. Haha.

It's very hard to follow him around now. His radio broke, hard to find where he is on the lake. Brandon i hope it does some good for your family coming in. And you can always follow Chris Carey around --LOL--

I live near Love Field airport/Bachman Lake area. Truth be told, rain we got in this area did NOT amount to much between 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM. Bachman Creek flow, below Denton Drive, and running under Harry Hines, has a flow that would not be much above a normal, drought free seasonal flow. That is my measuring stick, and it is pretty reliable. The rain was heavy at times, but in reality, the quantity was not. Old East Dallas, on the other hand, where I worked today, was an absolute cloudburst for several hours today. Wish I could have siphoned that water towards Bachman Lake and the creek, along with the ponds, bar ditches, gravel pits and oxbows down in the Elm Fork bottoms.
I sure hope the rest of you got gullywashers, especially in the watershed areas.
I checked Weather underground website, and Love Field got 8/10ths of an inch of rain. Not much of a drought buster.
Rudy
