You need more practice, you should have got a gas mig.

My welds looked like that with the $100 flux core welder I had. Spent some cash and bought a MIG. Life got much easier with the MIG...

I tried to cheap out at first too. I could not get the results I was looking for. I broke down and got a Hobart 190 with a bottle. Made life a TON easier. By no means a professional but I can at least lay a good bead.

wow what welder are you using lol do you even have the gas on? i have a miller matic 350p, and green rookies can even lay down a clean bead if its set right. at least you tried but looks like michael j fox welded that, and it dosent look hot enough it seems to be bubbling up and not getting any penatration, i take it you dont have a 220/240v mig.

Set heat at 90 and work your heat setting up.A6011 1/8 rod is a good rod to start off with.
Hang in there and stay after it time will tell.
