This morning we went out to do a little exploring on Conroe. I'm new on the lake and eager to learn all I can.
We started out from Weir Creek and my friend suggested checking out Stow Away resort which just up the lake. As we idled into the marina I passed an older man in a pontoon boat. I asked him if there were any exposed stumps beyond the marina in what appeared to be a channel. He said he didn't think so and not 20 feet later we hit a stump right in the middle of the channel! Darned thing is three inches below the surface right smack in the middle.
Thankfully we hit it slow and not head-on. No damage but when looked over at the pontoon guy, he was grinning. Thought it was funny.
First time I've thought seriously about murdering someone since last weekend.

Lol that wasn't very nice of him! But once under the bridge in stowaway you need to idle there is a ton of stumps in there and not really any boat lane. If you could of seen it two months ago you wouldn't even think about running in there.

A couple of small areas inside the bridge that you can run. But you better know where. Best to idle everywhere inside the bridge until you learn it.

You are assuming he knew it was there.

...First time I've thought seriously about murdering someone since last weekend. Might not want to put that info in a public forum!

There is a "boat lane" which goes all the way back to the entrance of lake Paula, starts somewhere just past that no wake buoy at the end of that island, I have seen bass boats run wot all the way back, if you get out of it, shame on you! No way I would attempt it, I love my boat too much.
