Had the Woerner's out this morning. Darrel and his son Jack13, wanted a bit of instruction. Caught a two man limit of channelcat with a few blues mixed in. As a bonus Jacks shad poles went off, peeling drag and wearing out the pro angler medium rod!!! After getting it out from under the boat and motor a few times it wound up just a danged old gar!!! But at 49.5 inches long and 17.5 inches around, it is the catch &release record, junior catch and release record and big fish award!!! Good day for the youngun!!!

Tom, if you dont mind, do you use a 4 treble or a single circle hook with some type of tubing to hold the bait? I can imagine taking out trebles when the fish are biting that good could get time consuming when a boat load of folks are handing you their fish With 3 hooks in every mouth.

Eightyduce, we just use #6 trebles. Most pop out pretty quick but if they are swallowed, I just cut off and retie. I have been using about a dozen hooks per trip including break offs since we are fishin rocks.
