got here Saturday and fished 2 days with grey reef anglers on the north Platte outside of Casper. the plan was to fish the miracle Mile on Sunday and grey reef today, but the mile was basically closed due to two days of ultra low flows (500cfm) so we fished the lower grey yesterday and upper grey today. Absolutely phenomenal fishing and these fish are NOT stock fish. real fighters, for sure. I posted pics last week of the san Juan and when I get it mastered again, I'll post some. like the san juan, if you can get to Wyoming, go fishing with grey reef anglers. for 3 nights lodging and 2 full day guide trips not including tips, $607 per person. that cannot be beat and we boated fish nymphing and throwing big streamers. the streamer fishing is a beating but rewarding if you hook up. this is my 2nd year here and I'll always come back every July. headed to the bighorn tomorrow and possibly the snake after that. I'm wanting to run up to montana or Idaho since we're here, but we're playing it by ear for now.

Great river there. I fished it a few times when I was living in Fort Collins. Is Alcova still a bustling metropolis?

+1 for the North Platte, fished there last October and broke my 3 personal best rainbows in the same day, it's an awesome fishery. I'm headed back this year for the same gig, honestly I hope to get my Wyoming Antelope tagged PDQ this year so I can fish more and hunt less. I also have lodging secured on the river for when the guides give up on me it's night fishing time!
Post your pics!
