When we were stocking our lake in East Texas with bass and whitetail I was told that Highroller Whitetails had some of the best Genes in Texas. James Butler of Highroller Whitetails told me there is only one place to get stocker bass from and thats Camelot Bell in coolidge texas. Needless to say after looking at their website I knew there was something special. So I called and in a few short months I now have them growing in my lake!! Fast forward to 3 weeks ago, i actually went fishing with the Camelot Bell owner Mike Frazier and he guided me and a friend to a day of bass fishing that Ill never forget. we had a 12.5 and an 11 before 10:30 in the AM!!! the day continued with a 9.5, 8.5. 8. 2 7's and another 30 or so fish for the day. wow!!!


So my sons 14th birthday is coming up and I asked if he wanted to go fishing at Camelot Bell. He was pumped so last thursday we headed to Coolidge and got ready for the next morning of fishing. After the first 1.5 hours and we had not landed ANYTHING, I started to worry but Mike said "dont give up just yet, we will find what they are eating". So about 30 min later I hooked a 9.5 lb that almost broke me off. So the day was officially going!
Mike then hooked a few little ones and so did I. All the while my son had yet to land his first fish. After another few minutes Mike (the owner) hooked a good fish and handed the rod to my son. He landed the fish but after a few minutes he was already saying that he really didnt catch it. We ended up going to Mexia for some great mexican food and then quickly hopped back in the boat to get going again. we all were cathching a few and even my son was back in the game. My son sets the hook and immediately announces that its a smaller fish. What he didnt realize was that the fish was coming straight at him and really didnt know mit was hooked! When it reached the boat, we realized it was a giant and I started to get the net and my son was yelling and screaming. we got the fish in the boat at exactly 10 lb on the scale and all of us (including Mike Frazier) were high fiving and whooping it up.

A day My son and I will never forget at a Place that I will visit again as soon as I can!!!

That is amazing!!! Great day with your son. Where is this place you call Camelot Bell? I would love to take my boys there for a guided trip. I am not even sure where coolidge is.

Wow thats awesome! I've never caught anything even close to that big! I don't carry a scale with either but I'm sure my biggest ever was like 4 maybe 5 if I'm lucky. Great job!
