Agreed, I would need to know if I could still manually deploy it! Mechanical deployment sounds fragile, and the only exercise I get these days is running to the front of my boat to do this lol!

My Dad and I were fishing just this past Sunday morning. He said to me "you know, it would be great if they had some sort of automatic telescoping trolling motor that would deploy and stow itself"... Not two days later, I find this link. Minnkota is certainly leading the charge in the TM market.

I like the spot lock on the pedal thumb

I wish mine had that sometimes because it could be hands free . Also if the battery goes out on the remote that would be a sure fire way to keep on fishing

I guess being young and new to my ipilot I do not mind the manual deploy... yet lol, I really think my favorite feature is the electronic height adjustment! Now that is cool! Netting for bait in water that goes form 5 feet to 2 feet will be sooo much easier!


I only fish on days that end in Y!
