Is it possible to accurately insert waypoints into this unit by pulling up the internal lake map, zooming in and moving the curser to the coordinates and hitting "mark"?

Might work. If you have the coordinates you can just manually put them in under waypoints. That's how I usually do it.

Is it possible to accurately insert waypoints into this unit by pulling up the internal lake map, zooming in and moving the curser to the coordinates and hitting "mark"? Yes, they will be as accurate as you are with selecting the locations. Zoom in to the closest setting for the best accuracy.
