Headed to Whitney on Monday. Going to be by myself so what's the easiest ramp to launch at by yourself? As in a good place to leave boat while parking the truck.
Thanks

I would use either Lofers Bend East or West......they are on the east side of the dam. I was on my way back from Dallas and went across the dam and Lofers Bend West (East end of Dam ) had about 20 boat trailers at the ramp this afternoon. Both have a dock to tie your boat up while parking your truck. If you go tomorrow , please post your results ........I am headed up Tues. By the way are you Rick Badley ?

Yep coach it's me! How you been? I'm coaching up in Keller now at Timber Creek HS now. Spent most of the summer here in Waco area. I'll post how I do on Monday.
You fished Whitney lately?

Most all the Corps Parks now have the sliding docks (slide up and down the ramp with the water level) now.... I think you can launch at any of the ramps and use the docks... Just depends upon where you want to fish. For sure, Lofer's Bend, McCown Valley, Cedar Creek, Cedron Creek, Walling Bend, Steele Creek, Ploughman's.

Didn't see this until after the trip. Did ok. Came home with 19 whites. Caught about 10 or so small stripers...no keepers. Couldnt keep the dang drum off my slab for awhile either. Caught like 8 of them. Also cleaned a catfish and a big crappie. Everything was caught on a blue and chrome slab in about 21-27' of water out from McCowan Valley boat ramp.
