Hi Fellow Anglers, Work let up and off we went to chase some crappies and sandies. Got to the lake at 11am and hit COE brushpiles. The brushpiles are holding fish...mainly dinks. It's like 6 to 1. There were so much undersized crappies in the 9" range. However, we managed to bring home 18 keepers and probably over 60 throw back. After that we went to look for sandies. We found some schooling at Wolf Island on the south end. It was a sporadic schooling. They were moving fast and gone within 10 seconds. Occasionally we would see small school popping here and there and if you're not ready they'll be gone before you could grab your rod. We caught 13 sandies and they were FAT! they'd been eating good. Over all the wife and I had a great time. We can't wait until those dinks grow to legal size next year. It's going to be great! All crappies were caught with 1/16th jigs and Bobby Garland bone white/chartreuse baby shad. That's the color they wanted today. Here's the picture of my livewell...

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Sounds as if you had a boatload of fun. Dinks are just as much fun to keep as keepers. That is, if you catch enough keepers to have some good meals while catching the dinks.
