I'm going stay a a house on copano in aug. It has a 100 ft dock. What should I throw? What type of fish should I expect to catch? I would like to catch some specs

Live shrimp or beetle tails with the red dot have been known to work under the lights at night in the coastal bend.
The pic shows some split beetle tails white/red dot ...
*** A lot of pier anglers like the clear ones with red dot - you can buy'em by the piece or bag @ Tackle Town in Rockport.
