After spending some time lurking on here, I finally god motivated to go carp fishing. I went to andy Brown park in coppell, since I have caught carp there in the past by accident. I fished for 2.5 hours and managed several carp, and I had a great time. So i just wanted to say thanks to everyone that posts on here, the info really helped. Unfortunately, I am headed back to school so I wont get to fish again untill summer.

Unfortunately, I took no pics, mostly because I don't have a camera. The fish ranged in sized from about 2-5 pounds(1 about 2 lbs, 1 about 5 lbs, and two in between) I think. However, being my first time to fish for carp, my weight judgement could have been off. I wish I could fish out at school, but no car makes it tough. However, I might give it a try if I get motivated enough to walk one day.

Anyone know of any areas near TCU, preferably within walking distance (20 minute walk)?

Congrats! Very glad you finally got around to giving carping a try, and caught some fish! That's awesome! Very glad you had such a good time, I hope you're able to keep fishing even while attending class!
