I was wondering if any of you fellas have used a Lowrance HDS Structure scan and a Humminbird with Sidescan on the same boat?? I have used other brand units in unison before and they caused interference between the 2. I guess different beam frequencies or something. Tell me what you think

I have an HDS 12 Touch and an 1198si side-by-side at the console. No interference.
Coincidence is His way of remaining anonymous.

My buddy just put the HB 360 on his Ranger and he has the 1198 with Lowrance HDS touch units and his maiden voyage didn't have any interference.

Just thinking about the combination since I have Lowrance units with LSS-1 and just ended up with a Humminbird 998 in a boat deal. Think I'll give it a try it'll sure let me compare and decide which is best for me.

I've been toying around with the idea of getting a lowrance for the 2d to go with my 997 and 798.

I just never used Humminbird. Know a lot of guys that do and the set up is a lot simpler. Maybe 998 on the trolling motor and HDS 8 off the back and unit at console. The best of both worlds!!

The only problem is you can't share waypoints between them. Therefore, it doesn't make sense to me. I guess if you already have them, then run 'em.
you know, nothing wrong with seven men who met on the internet going for a swim together

I use bird SI at the wheel & lowrance 2D at the nose. I use my SI to find/mark waypoints, 2D just for sonar for fishing what I already found with SI. That's just me.
