Fished Joe Pool this morning. First time I have had my boat in the water in months. Now I remember why I don't fish Joe Pool.
So - next time back to Lewisville. How is the Lake Park boat ramp - the old small one in the cove by sand bass lane? Last fall when I was there it was getting difficult to launch.
I have to admit I have been scared to boat with the lakes down this much.

Is Lewisville navigable? Any reports on hybrids or sand bass? Thanks for any replies!

tough fishing these days but lake park ramp is fine, careful around the dock though.

I only fish on days that end in Y!

I go out of Stewart's Creek over on the East side of the lake in The Colony. The ramp is low, but still pretty easy to use.

Was out today just cruising around from about 11-3. Hoped to maybe see some surfacing sandies, but no such luck. So just hopped in for a swim with my 5 yr old. I look forward to finally getting on a big school with him in the boat.

We launch and tourney fish Fridays from tower bay... pretty much my favorite launch on the lake personally. I may be able to help you find the sandies... let me know wink

The second ramp is closed at Lake Park because of the low water levels. The first ramp is fine except for the heavy traffic.

Mulholland, I could also use the information on finding the whites.

grin They have been hiding from me and a few others I know.

The 2nd ramp at Lake Park is closed, but they re-opened the old ramp near the point. Once you get there, you will see it. Very narrow ramps, but you don't have to contend with the boat dealers clogging up the 1st ramp or the jet ski rental folks. I stay away from that first ramp if at all possible. Too much craziness over there.

Launched from Stewart ramp last night. Low but no problems.
5 keeper hybrid trolling deep divers around mid-lake humps.

Didn't see any schooling action at all. Was out from 6-9pm with pretty calm water. Strange for this time of year.

I put in at Lake Park. Agree that the ramp can be busy. I like getting there early before all the pleasure boaters put in. Be careful at the dock. It is shallow there and has large rocks on one side.

I was heading out on Sunday for a family day taking my son & one of the grandsons tubing. Low and behold while waiting at the dock for my wife to get to the boat, a school of whites start busting the surface not more than 5 yard from the dock and right next to the boat. No tackle in the boat. First school I had seen on the lake while I have been fishing and no fishing tackle in the boat.

Also, when heading out from the launch at Lake Park towards the dam, be out away from shore. Off the first point it comes up really fast then again about midway between that point and the dam. Unless they moved them there was a porta potty on shore about where that hump is and the hump does come a ways out.
