I didn't see it as a heated exchange. However I did see the same thing that happens all the time. Lack of Respect for other fishermen. Kevin and 3 or 4 others were fishing that area the whole tournament and all of a sudden there's Ike bellydragging in on someone else's area. He got called out on it and he should have, then he starts crying trying to make Kevin look like the bad guy on camera. The fact is Kevin should not have had to make that comment because Ike should have never been there in the first place. If you can't find fish on your own don't go jack up someones spot who did find them. Lack of respect, Lack of respect, Lack of respect. When Kevin did move off his spot we didn't see the other guys fishing that area move into Kevins spot because thats called respect. Fishermen like Ike and Byron and the others is what is giving fishermen the wrong example to follow and they think its ok. Turn the tables around and let Kevin move in on Ike's spot and Ike would have been screaming, breakdancing, burning flags and throwing his tantrums on his front deck. Lesson learned: Lack of respect gets you kicked out of the Cool Community.

Everyone is talking about KVD and owning the community hole. What about Tommy Biffle, if he's in a cove or creek he will darn sure tell you to get out, that is his water. This probably happens more then we know, this one just got caught on tape.

forget which tourney, but they were doing impressions with the Elites, one was hilarious imitating Biffle "now you see that tree, I got this bank from that tree all the way 7 miles to the dam".

i saw something like that also on BASS and they did that Biffle, it was funny. From what I heard he did that at the PAA on Ray Hubbard in the River. At some point it gets real funny.

Not to derail, but the Biffle story reminded me. I was watching a bunch of fishing videos on youtube one eve. Some guy, Sonar Burghoff I think, was interviewing Chris Lane. He said who's better, you or so and so? he asked Chris that several times before slipping in a "who's better you or Nate Wellman with a pocket full of 100's?" Chris didn't answer. He was too busy laughing

I would be interested in hearing which Lane brother thinks he's better than the other one, I know Chris has a bigger trophy for sure.

From what I saw in the video KVD could have said it differently, might not have got Ike so testy. Just say "there's no room for you Mike". Of course without cameras rolling it might not have been so PC.

I agree with this statement. I've seen much worse in the office at work as well.

it just blows my mind to read this and see people that don't have a clue about respect for other anglers im so glad i had a dad that cared to show me how to and how not to treat other people and if he cared he would have asked kvd if he would be in the way fishing down from him. and not just pull up and start fishing

Fishing at this level is tough for most of us to understand. Both of these guys are very accomplished pro anglers, and you don't get to that level by being considerate of your competitors all the time. We will never know the whole story, but I like to see the stuff that really happens out there because it is entertaining. This is an individual sport and these guys are totally responsible for their own successes or failures. It is too easy for us to sit here and criticize KVD or Ike in this situation because we don't know the whole deal.

Here is what I do think. I would bet that if Ike had driven by KVD later that day on the way to the weigh in, and KVD was broke down, Ike would have given him and his fish a ride in.

I thought Ike was the better man in that little rub, KVD came right out and said he does not care for Ike, he could have left that comment in his bag.
