Its crazy but there are some good bass in the Lake Tahoe Keys marina. A lot of guys will come up from Cali and fish for them. Very interesting seeing a bass boat on that lake.

I have learned alot about fishing from talking to people and reading books, and taking the approach of learning and trying to always learn something about the behaviors particularly those habits of big bass. Some people perceive that as trying to steal spots, baits, etc.. real fishermen know that it's not about stealing something or fishing someone's hole, its about learning patterns and techniques and then trying to apply your specific techniques and ideas and learn more about what the fish are doing. And passing that along to like minded fishermen and younger kids, etc.. the art of fishing, especially big bass, structure fishing is a constant, evolving conversation. One that most of us love, and become very addicted to.

Wrong. We are all just laughing at yall. Reality check? The ones blurring backgrounds are the ones trying to see where others are from the backgrounds. Obviously they are the ones thinking about it....

People like myself and others in the thread questioning don't take it that seriously, and readily share spots, baits, etc.

My view is we all benefit that way. What says you caught the biggest fish off the spot with your tackle and skill set or ever will? Maybe if you share someone will show you even better fish there. If you aren't a guide or pro, it's absurd, and even then if you're too lazy to turn 90 degrees for a photo you're silly. If someone wanted to find where you were fishing they would still do it.

I fish tournaments. You can rest assured when I post a picture on here it isn't remotely even close to where I caught it.

You won't be beating my spots to death. To hell with sharing.. you put in the time, effort and money ....and find fish by yourself. You are a good fisherman when you can find your own.... If you stare at pictures hoping to find somebody else's fish... then you are a wannabe.

Yep, the keys have some good bass as do a few smaller lakes in the area. Used to spend a lot of time up there in the families cabin on North Shore

Lake Tahoe could give a whole new meaning to "deep fish". If I remember correctly when I went up there years ago they told us the lake was 22 miles long, 12 miles wide, and 1,500 feet deep.

I may need to get a bigger reel if I'm going to bounce any spoons off the bottom.

Same fish...same brush pile...10 months apart...9.8 then 10.41...it happens

that being said...blurred pictures are silly

You tag it or what? How does one know it's the same fish? Nice fish regardless. Glad you didn't blur the background so we all know where to go every day for a year to catch her at least once.... what's she like to eat? food

That's all fine and well, but has nothing to do with people who blur backgrounds. We all agree that turning the boat, moving and taking pictures etc. is plenty intelligent. It is purely the act of blurring backgrounds being discussed as far as I can tell. I don't give away ALL my spots, but if I post pictures to share it's not within tourney times or where I am tourney fishing, it's random fun fishing bass I don't care to keep secrets. Otherwise you can take all the photo's you want at weigh in to show off and no one will know jack squat!

Those who get upset about the blur are the ones who are looking for the spot the hardest.

Who cares if you blur out the background? I just like to see pictures of good fish. It doesn't bother me if someone blurs out the background, or if they don't.

But I can see why someone who makes their livelihood by knowing where the fish are wouldn't want anyone with an internet connection to have that information.

Your first point is correct. I did not tag the fish and cannot definitively say that it is in fact the same fish. It came from the same brush pile and had the same body type. It may very well have been a coincidence.

The "what's she like to eat?" comment is baffling. I am fairly certain it would have tasted like a bass, but how does a picture of me holding a bass on the deck of my boat, which is in the water, lead you to believe that I ate it?

Too many "my spots" and "my fish" posts on here. Those are the state of Texas' spots and the state of Texas' fish, and more than likely you didn't find that spot on your own either.
