Hey guys. So my wife bought me my first Go Pro Hero Plus Black. I was trying to see if you guys had any tips on rigging the best way for fishing and access to it while on the yak. Recommended accessories and more. I cant wait to make my first video . This made my Fathers Day!!!

Hook1 has just about the best gear available for kayak GoPro accessories. They are in cahoots with Yak attack products and can fill just about any need. To get started you have to have the tripod mounting base. You can get this at best buy for about $10. From there you can attach it to all sorts of poles etc... You should have a remote with that camera. Attach it to you pfd, boat seat anywhere you can use it. I seldom ever mess with the actual camera out on the lake I just use the remote. I use the 720 hd as I can get a bit more battery life than going with full 1080. I also strongly suggest you get the battery back pack to extend the battery life to about an hour. This is my camera set up. This position gives a behind looking downward view of all the action. With the horizontal bar the camera can be turned to get a close pic of you and your fish. camera pole hook1 camera gear

Thank you really for all those tips!!! I really appreciate you taking the time to explain and post a picture. By the way I have the same yak but different color so thats really a good idea of what it will look like on mine. Thanks again for the help!

I made a set up this weekend out of PVC and a DC motor. I am able to install the go pro behind me and I use a double throw switch to move it left and right.
I will take a picture and post it tomorrow.
